Encaustic Wax Art Classes & Workshops
Phil is a qualified art teacher running taster sessions and day workshops in encaustic wax painting (maximum two people) from his studio in Wilstone, near Tring in Hertfordshire.
The encaustic wax art classes provide a fun, informative and supportive environment in which you can practice a variety of skills and techniques in encaustic wax painting. They are designed to unleash your creativity in this exciting and unconventional medium.
During the class we will cover the techniques of encaustic wax painting using an iron, hot air gun, scriber, hot brush, heated stylus and hot plate with coloured and metallic waxes. Equipment is supplied for the taster sessions and day workshops. By the end of the day, you will be able to use the tools of encaustic wax painting and can purchase a wax art starter kit from Phil to create your own artwork at home.

Phil will encourage you to develop your own style after learning the basic techniques with ongoing constructive assessment. He is an enthusiastic tutor who provides a fun and supportive environment in a creative class that is both informative and exciting.
Phil offers tuition for individuals, or a maximum of two people on weekdays from his studio in Wilstone, Hertfordshire.

Phil’s art classes and workshops include the use of equipment. Encaustic art starter kits (if required) can be purchased from Phil after the course, or at any time.
